American Ballet Theatre is making it's return to California in Ratmansky's acclaimed The Nutcracker this December. Join young Clara on this dream like journey thats filled with magic toy soldiers, sparkling snowflakes, mischievous mice, larger than life scenery and an incredible glittery Christmas tree, what more do you want! With over 100 performers and a live orchestra it's fun for all the family. Featuring set and costume design by Richard Hudson and choreography by ABTs artist in residence, Alexei Ratmansky.
What Is The Nutcracker About?
Christmas eve: a time for anticipation, celebration and a whole lot of magic! When the clock strikes midnight, Clara awakes to find her beloved Nutcracker alive and dancing before her very eyes. Together they journey to enchanted lands where they battle the fearsome Mouse King and are granted an audience with the enigmatic Sugar Plum Fairy. It's a treat for the whole family that's not to be missed!
