Segerstrom Hall, a 3,000-seat Opera house, is located in Segerstrom Center for the Arts in Costa Mesa, California and opened in 1986. The center was originally called Orange County Performing Arts Center, and was designed by award-winning architect Cesar Pelli. The venue also accommodates three resident companies: the Philharmonic Society of Orange County, Pacific Symphony and Pacific Chorale.

South Coast Repertory is a Tony Award-winning theatre company, founded in 1964 by David Emmes and Martin Benson, and is led by Artistic Director Marc Masterson and Managing Director Paula Tomei. SCR is known for its production of some of the best new plays in America. In fact, 40 percent of the plays it has produced have been world, American or West Coast premieres. The theater company also produces classic works and Broadway hits. SCR produces a five-play season on its Segerstrom Stage, a four-play season on its Julianne Argyros Stage, plus one annual holiday production. It also offers theater opportunities for Young Audiences series, and programs in education and outreach throughout the year.
